Balkan Criminology core group at the XXXVII. International Post Graduate Course on Victimology, Victim Assistance and Criminal Justice

In May 2023, XXXVII. International Post Graduate Course on Victimology, Victim Assistance and Criminal Justice was held at IUC, Dubrovnik. This informative course on Victimology, Victim Assistance and Criminal Justice, every year brings together more than 50 international students, and several dozen internationally renowned experts every year. It serves as an scientific platform for learning and sharing research experiences, mainly from the field of victimology, criminology, and criminal justice.

As one of the directors of the Course, Head of the Balkan Criminology, Prof. Dr. Getoš Kalac participated with the presentation on the topic of CRIMINAL PUNISHMENT IN TIMES OF RISING PENAL POPULISM: How Criminology & Victimology Contribute to the Human Rights Perspective

Members of the Balkan Criminology, Prof. dr. dr hc mult. Hans-Jörg Albrecht, Dr. Bezić and Dr. Šprem also participated at the mentioned Course so it was a great opportunity to exchange new thoughts and discuss hot topics in the field of criminology and victimology at Balkans.

It was an honor to participate in this important course with a long tradition and we keep hope to participate next year as well.
